Protect and Prolong the Life of Your Tires

Race Ramps FlatStoppers protect your investment by keeping your tires off the ground and safely supported. Simply park your vehicle or trailer on the tire stands whenever you put it in storage. These ultra-strong supports will prevent your tires from developing flat spots, giving you peace of mind the next time you get back out on the road.

What Are Flat Spots?

A flat spot is a section of the tire in which the rubber has become softer or stiffer than the rest of the tire. Flat spots are caused by compression of the tire against a hard surface for an extended period of time - typically 30 days or more. Vehicles that are put in storage or not driven on a regular basis, such as supercars, collectible cars, show cars, seasonal vehicles, and trailers, are at risk for developing flat spots.

Other factors that make tires more susceptible to flat spotting are:

  1. Nylon-reinforced internal construction (common among trailer tires)
  2. Bias ply construction
  3. Being under heavy loads
  4. Under-inflation
  5. Fluctuations in temperature

The FlatStoppers Solution

Race Ramps Flatstoppers perfect for supcar tires

When it comes to fighting flat spots, prevention is key, and that is exactly what FlatStoppers' curved surfaces are designed to do. The curved surfaces cradle your tires, allowing more of the bottom surface area of the tires to be supported than if they were parked on the flat ground. Since the tires are better supported by the cradles, weight is more evenly distributed throughout the tires, preventing the compression that causes flat spotting.

FlatStoppers are also insulated to protect your tires against ground temperature fluctuations that can contribute to flat spots. This means they will not conduct heat or cold into your tires while in storage.

Ultra-Strong, Lightweight Construction with Anti-Skid Coating

Race Ramps FlatStoppers bottom view weight supported

FlatStoppers are made of ultra-strong, solid core, high-density EPS foam that won't crack or bounce. Each FlatStopper supports 1,500 lbs - giving you a total weight capacity of 6,000 lbs for your vehicle. The tire supports are lightweight, weighing no more than 1.5 pounds each, so you can transport and store them with ease.

Race Ramps Side Kick textured hybrid polyurea

FlatStoppers are covered with a textured coating and are flat on one side. This keeps them from skidding when you drive up on them. The coating is a hybrid polyurea compound that is resistant to water and other automotive chemicals commonly found around the garage. And although this coating is durable, it will not scratch, mark, or scrape your garage floor or the ground.

As the reviews stated, the ramps don't slip when you drive up on them. Quality product.

by:

Bought these ramps to prevent flat spots. The car was stored about 80 miles from my primary residence and sitting for 4 months on them. When driving home from the storage there was no indication of flatspotting, no vibration at all. These ramps worked as advertised and well worth the money.

All is fine. Car is going back up on the ramps next week.

by:

Have two complete sets of these ramps under two 1st Gen Camaros on concrete garage floor. They are easy to drive on and off and have eliminated “flat spots” on my period correct F70-14 bias ply tires. They can slip a bit on smooth garage floor if you aren’t gentle when going up but really is a very minor issue.
Overall very happy and recommend them for those who have bias ply tires or have “trailer queens” like me.

by:

I leave a car parked in an Arizona garage for 6 of the hottest months of the year. Flat spotting has always been a problem. These ramps have totally prevented this issue.

by:

I put them under our '54 Chevy and they work great! It was easy to set them up and to drive onto them. A excellent product that's made in the good old U.S.A.

They are working very well after a year. Excellent product!

by:

I used my new flatStopper car ramps over the 2018/19 winter for the first time.

In the spring, my old Jag 140 went out the driveway as smooth as could be.

Firestone radials unheated garage in New England.

by:

The race ramps are expanded plastic. They slid on the epoxy floor of my garage and I had to use a floor jack to correctly position them. Putting a rubber insert in the bottom like ramps I have would solve that.

by:

They look OK. Seem pricy for what you get. The 1st ones I used on one of my cars, the tire developed a flat tire. The rim put a groove in the product. They are just not like a solid piece of plastic or metal that might stand up to a flat tire. They look like compressed foam?
Very light to handle which is great for moving them.
I have ordered some of another brand that looks like plastic for considerably less money

by:

The concept is great, but the execution leaves me flat (ha!)
The rigid foam material needs to be stiffer...my trailer weighs about 5,000 lbs and the foam is compressing more than I would like after using them for the extended storage ( 9 mos) during Covid.

by:

I think the ramps worked just as described and got all my tires off the cement as promised and could not ask for more and would suggest that anyone needed to get your RV tires off the ground take a look at these and they worked great for us....

by:

Flat Stoppers were reasonably priced and worked just as advertised.
No problems with my little car after 5 months in storage. Glad I purchased these.

by:

These work great!!!

by:

Very well tracked as I traced this package every day until correct delivery date of arrival.
Very pleased box was brand new no dents or dings, very clearly well labeled.

by:

Excellent Product that prevents flat spots in tires when parked for prolonged periods.
Excellent Service and Communication by etrailer.com
THANK YOU.

Seems like a good product

I wish they were more robust to being driven over..maybe a design change: ramps on either end of the block..roll on, roll offThe most frustrating part of my drive is repositioning back onto the ramps..kind ruins it. No, not really 2017 Jaguar XE 35t

Thanks for the reply. We do offer a similar item that is a lower profile and those are # RR-RU. However these are designed to be used with # RR-XT-2 or # RR-56-2. They do accomodate tires up to 12 inches wide.

by:

I plan on using ramps when I leave my car in garage for lengthy time especially in cold winter days as to avoid flat spots or any other issue that may occur when left sitting on hard surface of my garage.

by:

They worked fine. Tires were on them for a month. No flat spots when I drove off them. They did the job I bought them for.

by:

Very lightweight but "cushy" for the tires. Stay put without sliding as you drive on them

by:

Just what I was looking for to store my car in Florida for the off season.

by:

Works as advertised

Excellent, super fast shipping. Very Ha ppy!

I love Flatstoppers! My car looks beautiful sitting on them while they’re protecting my tires.

I purchased these Race Ramps for my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab with a 5'7" bed. Truck is stored all winter and every year there were flat spots on the tires and cause vehicle vibration. This truck has 20" tires so I was skeptical that it would work. First ride in in 2017 absolutely no road vibration. I was very please. Nothing worse than waiting all winter to get a lousy ride. The truck is back in storage again on the Race Ramps and I must say that I highly recommend these. My truck has All season radials. I would not expect these to perform the same if you park mudders or anything larger than a 22" tire. 22" is pushing it.

  • Recommended Method for Cargo Trailer Storage to Prevent Flat Spotting
When using jack stands like the 2-Ton Jack Stands part # PTW41021 I recommend using one under each of the springs where the axle sits. If the springs are above the axle place them under the axle where the springs are. I also recommend using two on each side of the tongue to eliminate twisting that can occur on your jack weakening the jack mounting location. As another option that can save you a ton of work with jacks and jack stands we offer the Race Ramps FlatStoppers for Vehicle Storage...

  • Best Way to Store Travel Trailer so that Tires Are Preserved
I have an easier option for storing your camper and preserving your tires with the FlatStoppers for Vehicle Storage # RR-FS-10. Basically you just set these in front of your tires so that you can pull the trailer up into them and the round support they provide for the tires allows them to retain their shape in storage. This by far a much easier, safer, and better solution than trying to jack the trailer up off the ground. I attached a review video for this kit for you to check out as well.

  • What System Can I Use to Both Stabilize and Lift my Camper?
I have a solution for you but using any type of stabilizer jack to lift your camper is a no go. They are designed specifically to stabilize they are not rated for lifting. In most cases during storage it is not required to lift your wheels off of the ground they will generally keep their round shape as long as they're inflated properly and will be just fine when you pull it out for use. We do have a storage option generally used for vehicles but that will work great if you are concerned...
